Dr Kaval Patel

Orthodontist GDC REG 83682

Kaval Patel started working at e-LINE in 2010 as an associate and in 2017 he became the director and principal orthodontist.

Kaval graduated dentistry from GKT (Guys & Kings College) in 2004. He has a Masters in Orthodontics (Singapore) and Periodontics (Germany) and he is on the GDC Specialist Orthodontic List. Kaval’s special interests are in surgical orthodontics, corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) and multidisciplinary orthodontics (working with other disciplines of dentistry to get the optimal aesthetic results).

Good Orthodontics respects the biology and physiology of each individual and will take time to get right.

Dr Carmen Costea

Orthodontist GDC REG 281431

Carmen graduated in dentistry from University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca (Romania) in 2009 and she has a Masters (2014) and a PHD (2018) in Orthodontics. Soon after finishing her doctorate, she has moved to London and has started working at e-LINE.

Carmen is on the GDC Specialist Orthodontic List and heads the development of new treatments within the clinic.

Her specialist interest is the Temporomandibular (Jaw) joint, its relationship to the bite and its implications in the day to day orthodontic treatment planning.

There is no such thing as an ‘easy fix’ in Orthodontics. Excellent Orthodontics is technical, precise and should take into account, not only the cosmetic but also the functional aspect of the bite, TMJ and jaw bones.

Dr Matthew Chung

Orthodontist GDC 257856

Matthew acquired his dental degree from the University of Liverpool. Following this he spent the next few years developing his skills by working in dental practice, community dental services, and various dental hospitals across the country. In this time, he had the opportunity to immerse himself in all dental specialties which has helped consolidate him into a well-rounded and versatile clinician.

He undertook his orthodontic speciality training at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute where he graduated with a masters by research before being inducted as a specialist with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

Matthew frequently attends courses and conferences to stay updated with contemporary orthodontic treatments to provide the best care for his patients. He also values the importance of giving back to communities through dental volunteering programmes. A particular highlight was his trip with Mercy Ships to Senegal which has inspired him to pursue further missionary trips.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys travelling, and exploring new restaurants and cafes.

I believe adopting a treatment ethos which prioritises patient-centred care and evidence based treatment fundamental to achieving optimal results.
